Nominate for the Hall of Fame

The Australian Motorsport Hall of Fame celebrates the extraordinary people whose achievements have defined Australia’s rich motorsport history. From pioneers of the early 20th century to global champions of the modern era, it recognises those who have left an enduring legacy across all disciplines – two wheels and four.

Motorsport has been at the heart of Australian innovation, competition and national pride for over 120 years. It is one of the few sports in which Australians have consistently reached the top on the world stage. Legends such as Sir Jack Brabham, Alan Jones, Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan and Casey Stoner headline the remarkable Australians who have become world champions – and household names.

Today, motorsport is one of Australia’s most significant sporting and economic contributors:

  • Over 250,000 Australians actively participate in motorsport
  • Millions more follow the sport with passion and pride
  • The industry contributes more than $8.6 billion annually to the national economy

Governed by the Australian Motorsport Council (AMC) – the peak body representing all motorsport disciplines – Automobile, Motorcycling. Karting, Drag Racing, Speedway – the Hall of Fame exists to:

  • Honour the individuals who have shaped and elevated Australian motorsport
  • Preserve the stories, triumphs and innovations that define the sport’s heritage
  • Inspire the next generation of competitors, engineers, officials and fans

Inclusion in the Hall of Fame is the highest honour in Australian motorsport. It recognises excellence, courage, and lifelong impact. Through this recognition, the Hall of Fame connects Australia’s proud past with its dynamic future, ensuring the legacy of our motorsport champions endures.
